This painting seems to be celebrating the evening light show that signals the setting sun as it disappears behind the illuminated colored clouds. Sunset marks the end of the day, when it is time to rest and change our pace. The sky gives us a gift so we will transform our vision to the coming twilight that leads us to the muted tones of dusk.
