Horse Sense

The shapes that comprise “Horse Sense” have always captivated me. I am inspired by the animal look of the trunk and the very thin accompanying arms on each side of the “horse tree head.” I found this tree in Viareggio, Italy as well. In 2005 I discovered my dark charcoal technique; this is one of the early black works. I became very excited by this series; it was a new beginning!
