Monarch of the Glen II

This is one of my favorite drawings! The source was such a regal, princely figure that I set it in the space a bit like a Pharaoh of Egypt. I also painted the piece early on in my tree series. It is located in the Paintings Gallery is you would like to take a look! This is an actual tree set as close as possible to the posture of the original source which I discovered in Viareggio, Italy, where there are many 500 year old Sycamore trees living in a public park.
