Flower Power

“Flower Power” is a magical piece that everyone seems to notice. The base resembles a “stem” that supports what hints at a blossom with folding petals on top. The top section contains a log and super-sized pine-cone I found in Yosemite National Park. The “stem” has an open slot in which a female looking log is inserted. The transparency and lightness of the work provide an airy appealing presence that seems to calm viewer nerves.
