Outrage

This drawing is a tribute to the men and women who perished in the 911 attack on The World Trade Center. The dark tree form “mouth” cavity seems to be emitting sounds of protest that permeate the surrounding white space. Reaching up with limbs outstretched, the tree form seeks expression, explanation, a means to hold firm under conditions of
unbearable anguish.
