Big Bite

It was a challenge to translate this charcoal drawing quirky image into a large scale painted drawing. I realized these forms and their heightened response to one another in the tree shapes I had photographed earlier. I decided to darken the background, to make the trees subjects more readable. They seem to be confronting each other in a highly charged emotional atmosphere.
