Phantom Tree

Phantom Tree merges the black charcoal technique with line and smudges from my previous line series. The ultra-thin twig lines contrast with and accentuate the rounded shapes on the belly of the trunk. The piece is mysterious, solid yet permeated by shadows, as if it contains a hint of night falling.
